I am responsible for the earthquake related contents claims for Southern Response – the government owned company responsible for handling and settling the earthquake claims of AMI Insurance policyholders. I had heard good reviews from colleagues about Fine Antiques and decided I would make contact as I needed assistance with a claim. 

 

I used the online form to make contact, and this was followed up promptly which was impressive. I outline the situation as we needed a number of Royal Doulton items valued despite the customer having disposed of them already. I found Fine Antiques to be professional, friendly and very helpful. The customer had a number of personal issues she was dealing with and was not comfortable with a valuer visiting her at her property to discuss the items in question. Fine Antiques was proactive and helpful when I suggested he provide me with the questions he needed answering to complete an accurate and comprehensive valuation. Once the customer had answered these questions and provided me with the answers, Fine Antiques was efficient in collating his report. I received the comprehensive and easy to read report promptly and was able to proceed with settlement. The customer’s estimates had been … (sensitive information therefore removed) … , so I truly appreciate Fine Antique's help. I believe the valuation fee was fair and reasonable and I would have no hesitation in using this service again.

 

I understand and appreciate that earthquake related matters need to be treated with care, and Fine Antiques assistance allowed me to do so with a customer who was dealing with a number of sensitive issues. I would recommend Fine Antiques to anyone requiring a similar service and would have no issue in them contacting me directly for a recommendation.
